Margot Tempereau

Mediator

Biography

Margot has over 20 years of experience as an attorney in private practice handling cases involving breach of contract, negligence, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, personal injury (plaintiff and defense), trademark, copyright and family planning matters. During her years as a sole practitioner, Margot enjoyed the challenge of gaining knowledge and proficiency in new fields of law as the need arose. Consequently, she has a broad range of knowledge from which to draw in any given situation which has proven invaluable in working with a variety of individuals of all backgrounds and personalities.

In 2003 Margot transitioned to real estate, initially with a salesperson license, while continuing to handle legal matters from time to time for select clientele until 2020. Margot received her Real Estate Broker’s license in 2009 and remains active as a Broker-Associate with luxury real estate company DPP in Pasadena, CA. In 2020, she obtained her Property Management Master Certification in order to better evaluate the skill and performance of independent managers of rental properties.

Throughout her decades of legal and real estate practice, Margot has negotiated settlements and/or amicable resolutions to 100% of her legal cases and real estate transaction-related matters without costly, protracted litigation and its uncertainties. During the pandemic, Margot elected to formalize her years of hands-on experience by becoming a Certified Professional Mediator based upon her firm belief that a great majority of disputes can be resolved by parties working with a skilled mediator to achieve a self-determined resolution acceptable to all. She looks forward to facilitating favorable resolutions of disputes involving real estate and other areas consistent with her background and experience.
